Welcome to the Poznań Shin Dojo Aikido Club
Our club was established in 1998 by Adam Manikowski and Wojciech Drąg, both 5th dan now. Shin Dojo is the biggest aikido school in Poznań which is a member of the Polish Aikido Federation. Our school primarily follows the teachings of Christian Tissier, 8th dan. We cooperate with many Polish and international aikido groups, especially from France and Germany.
What distinguishes us from other aikido centres is the tremendous emphasis we place on the training conducted in our club by outstanding teachers of aikido. We can be proud of the fact that we have organised several international training sessions, led by world-renowned masters, Hiroshi Isoyama, 8th dan, in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and Christian Tissier 8th dan, in 2005. These seminars represent an enormous success for Shin Dojo and bear testimony to the great trust placed in our club by the masters themselves and by the Polish Aikido Federation.
Regular guests of our club
- Pascal Norbelly Sensei (6th dan, passed away in 2017), a student of Christian Tissier
- Marian Wisniewski Sensei (6th dan), a member of the Management Board of the Polish Aikido Federation,
- Pascal Guillemin Sensei (5th dan), an assistant to Christian Tissier.
We offer aikido classes for children, teenagers and adults at both beginner and advanced levels. We also teach bokken, jo and tanto. Our dojo is located at Pulaskiego Street near the AZS Stadium (the entrance from Cicha Street).
